WHY LEASE ARTWORK?

We know choosing artwork is a personal process & we want you love your art for life. So why not take art home, enjoy it on your wall, and live with it before you commit to buying? If you love it, we'll credit 100% of your lease towards purchase if bought within the first month, or 50% if purchased thereafter. Lease for as long as you like for a low monthly charge, purchase it, or return the work free of charge anytime.

HOW DO I LEASE?

Leasing is easy - Once you've discovered that special work, simply click on "Lease It" button, and you'll be taken to the checkout page. Complete the forms, read & accept the Lease Agreement, and choose whether you want to purchase the Damage Waiver, and then review your order & confirm.

HOW DOES LEASING ART WORK?

We know that nothing beats seeing art in person. Our unique art-leasing model lets you to lease artwork on an ongoing basis, and try the artwork out on your wall before purchase. If you love it, you can continue to lease the art or buy it. We'll even credit part of your lease towards purchase. If you don't fall in love with the work, return it to us at no charge.

HOW DO I BUY ART ON THE SITE

Leasing Art and Buying art is easy. Simply add an artwork to your shopping cart, or click on the lease art link on the product page. This will take you to check out. We accept all major credit cards, and our site is completely secure!

WHAT IS LEASE TO OWN?

All your investments are applied towards the purchase price. Even as your artist's prices increase, you are always investing towards the original price. This means your investments are 100% interest-free. It's a perk of being an early investor in that artist.

I SEE AN ARTWORK I LIKE, BUT I CAN'T LEASE THEIR WORK, WHY?

A majority of the artwork for sale on Artwardly can be leased. However, sometimes the sheer size or distance that the artwork is being shipped from prohibits us from leasing it. If you see a work you love that is not available for lease contact us, and we will try to find a solution.

No one wants to see your piece left out in the cold or rain, or stolen before you even get to love it! So please be sure to provide.

WHEN WILL MY ARTWORK ARRIVE?

We aim to get your work to you as soon as possible, and use FedEx, DHL, and SenseAware services whenever possible. But it does take some time to get the work from the artists and partners, especially if it is currently being exhibited. It will typically take 10 business days for your order to arrive, but never more than 30 days. Feel free to contact us if your order is urgent.

I PLACED MY ORDER BUT AM NOW TOLD THE PIECE IS UNAVAILABLE. WHY?

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee the availability of all of the works on the site, as the artists may be exhibiting the work in a show, or it may have recently been sold. Don't worry, this just means you have excellent taste! We can let you know if the work becomes available or work with you and the artist to find another special piece.

MY ARTWORK HAS ARRIVED!! WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Yay! Open the box carefully, as you'll need it to return the work if you don't want to keep it, or to store it if you do. Hanging instructions are provided in the box, along with nearly everything you'll need down to the hanging hook and nails. You will need a hammer, measuring tape, and either a spirit level or a pair or good eyes. Then, sit back and enjoy your piece! Remember to tuck the packaging away under the bed or at the back of your closet for later.

WHEN DOES MY LEASING PERIOD START?

Your lease period begins one business day after we send it out to you. And since we use next-day delivery, that means it should start... ∑(12+√1) = 2 … on the day you receive the work. Your leasing period lasts for 30 days and will be automatically renewed unless you tell us that you'd like to return or purchase your piece.

I REALLY LOVE MY ARTWORK AND WANT TO KEEP IT. WHAT NOW?

Great! You can keep leasing for as long as you like, and you will be billed monthly, no need to take action at all. Ready to commit and build you collection? You can purchase your artwork from your My Settings page under My Artwardly or ring us up for free on 1-702-763-5364 and we'll sort it out for you. You'll even get a credit for the time you've leased the work toward the purchase. Once you've bought the work, we'll send along your Certificate of Purchase in the post.

DO I GET ANY CREDIT TOWARDS BUYING THE WORK?

Of course! Artwardly will credit 100% of your leasing price if you buy the work within the first month, and 50% of the amount you've paid in leasing fees thereafter towards your your purchase. The balance will be charged to your credit card.

I'M NOT LOVING MY PIECE, WHAT NOW?

No problem, we'll exchange it for something new or you can just return it at no cost to you. Pop the artwork back into the box in the snug artwork-shaped hole, and seal it back up. Cancel your leasing from your My Settings page or give us a ring free of charge on 1-702-763-5364 and we'll email you a shipping label and schedule your pick-up. Print & place the label in the window envelope provided, stick it to the outside of the box (be sure to remove or cover up any old labels), and hand it to the nice DHL man.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN MY ARTWORK?

You've got 10 business days from the time you notify us that you wish to return your piece to send the artwork back to us. We understand you're busy, so pick a day in that window, and give us a ring to arrange the pick-up of your artwork.

WHAT IF MY ARTWORK GETS DAMAGED?

Normal wear is OK, but these starving artists need to eat from time to time, so we'll have to charge you for any significant damage to the work. We'll only charge you the cost of repairs, unless the art is too far-gone, in which case we'll need to charge you the retail price. Want some piece of mind? We've got you covered with our optional Damage Liability Waiver.

WHAT IS THE DAMAGE LIABILITY WAIVER?

The Waiver is an optional agreement between yourself and Artwardly, where, in the event that apiece is damaged, we agree to waive our right to charge you for the full amount of the costs of repair or retail price. For a small monthly fee, we'll reduce the amount you are liable to pay in the event of accidental damage & theft (provided you supply a police report & the art isn't left unattended during delivery or return) to the greatest of 10% of the value of the work or $200.

WHY DOESN'T THE WAIVER COVER ME FOR ALL TYPES OF DAMAGE/THE FULL PRICE?

If you have contents cover in your home, you're probably insured in the case of fire or something like a water main bursting, and we want to keep the cost to you as low as possible. As for the full price, well, we wouldn't be in business very long if you could use your piece as a dartboard for only a fiver a month, would we? Save yourself the 10% and spend it down the pub, where they have real dartboards.

I'VE LOST MY BOX - WHAT DO I DO?

Shame, shame. Give us a ring and we'll send you out a new one. We have to charge you for delivery and packaging costs. While we like all kinds of colors here at Artwardly, we want to encourage our customers to be green. In the future, we even hope to offer you the chance to offset the carbon emissions from transporting your artwork!
